Ground services are very effective at Tokyo Narita International airport ; once you are identified as a First Class passenger – from any company – a dedicated ground handling agent will help you to check-in, pass through the security and finally bring you to your lounge. Of course, all these steps are done skipping lines and the whole process should not exceed 15 min.
Then I have to say that Air France First Class lounge is not impressive at all and I expected far much for the Air France La Première in A380, their luxury flagship. Indeed the F lounge is just a small corner of the Business Class lounge without any added value – no restaurant, no Spa – so if you are used to First Class benefits you will certainly be disappointed. However you can at least enjoy to be the first boarding the plane and here is a good point because honestly, the “boarding ceremony” really makes you feel like a VIP : we were escorted to the boarding desk with all Economy and Business passengers spread on each side, looking at us, we didn’t show any passport or boarding pass as the ground agent validated our identity to the boarding agent and finally the whole Air France crew greeted us in the corridor before going to the F cabin. Wow !
