Paris hosts some of the most exclusive worldwide hotels, like the Hotel du Crillon or the famous Ritz Paris. But some hidden places offers also a very nice experience for luxury travel lovers, such as the hotel Le Cinq Codet in central 7th district. Story of our weekend getaway.
Discovering new five-star residences is one of my favorite activity. Few years after its opening, it was the perfect timing for me to pay a visit at Le Cinq Codet. Located in the 7th district of Paris, where we recently had a lovely spa & dining experience in the neighborhood, the hotel proposes a beautiful accommodation away from the bustling parts of the capital.
Living
The challenge of interior architect Jean-Philippe Nuel was not easy: transform a former telecom building into a high-end hotel. And I have to say it’s a success. The overall design is a kind of luxury home with wooden touches, spaces are very well allocated and the atmosphere is pretty modern-chic.
Lobby
I especially loved the surprising Spa, offering an outdoor heated jacuzzi with a nice furniture setup; I believe it should be amazing during summer time! And the fitness center is furnished with the most upscale Technologym equipment, it was a pleasure to do my morning exercises!
Accommodation
Le Cinq Codet is really the place-to-go if you are a suite lover. They have some amazing rooftop suites with terrace and outdoor jacuzzi, not that expensive actually. For this one-night stay we enjoyed the Duplex Suite with a large living space on lower floor and bed + open bathroom on upper floor. Nice layout!

Quality of furnitures and material is high, while custom bath amenities are an invitation to relaxation. On top of that, I think it’s important to mention the entertainment system and its plenty of free-to-play movies in multi-languages, exactly like in a plane. So convenient!
Dining
We had both buffet breakfast and brunch at Le Codet restaurant (yes, we were hungry..). The place is pleasant and the food selection pretty interesting, especially the dessert buffet with its minute-made waffles, crepes and pancakes. Yummy!

Brunch’s main dishes choice – cod fillet or veal with foie gras – was fantastic; we tasted each of them and they were absolutely delicious.
Level of exigency
Generally speaking the staff is quite young in that hotel. Not a big deal, since they are doing their best to welcome, serve and offer guests a pleasant stay. With more training, they will be even better and will provide an even more magical experience at Le Cinq Codet!
Conclusion
To summarize, I would say that Le Cinq Codet is full of promise and has the potential to become a great five star place. Suites are top-notch and I love the discreet location in the heart of Paris. Stay there and see by yourself!
