What a wonderful week-end in Barcelona during a hot summer ! Weather was perfect, we were very tanned at the end of the stay and I cannot complain about it :) We booked an Hilton hotel in Diagonal Mar area, close to a beach, letting us be far from the stressful center but also quite close to it, as it was only a 15 minutes ride by tramway.
Of course we visited the historical center with Las Ramblas, La Barceloneta and the aquarium. Walking in this city is very pleasant and you can find bars, tapas and restaurant everywhere ; do not go there for luxury shopping, I am not sure it is the place for that. But be sure that you will have some exciting time in this capital of nightlife !
